Dungeon Lootr Guide: Beginner Walkthrough & Progression

Updated 2026-09-08 · Last verified 2026-09-08 · Roblox Dungeon Lootr

Dungeon Lootr is an extract-or-lose-all hack and slash dungeon ARPG on Roblox, and your first three hours follow a fixed path: you start as Ronin in the Bandit's Den tutorial, then work forward through Goblin's Stronghold, Forgotten Ruins, The Catacombs, Frostspire Bastion and Underworld Gate. The rule that catches every new player is that a run only pays out when you extract. Die inside a dungeon and the loot does not come home.

Everything below is drawn from the official Roblox listing by ClickBytes plus cross-checked fan and press sources. Where sources disagree, or where nothing has been published at all, this page says so instead of guessing.

The core loop: extract or lose all

Standard dungeons are randomly generated and run on an extraction rule. You enter, clear rooms, pick up materials and gear, and the loot is only banked once you leave through the exit. This is the single mechanic that separates Dungeon Lootr from ordinary Roblox dungeon grinders, and it is what makes greed expensive.

What that means in practice, for your first sessions:

  • Treat a full inventory as a reason to leave, not a reason to push one more room.
  • Step your difficulty up one notch at a time. A Normal clear that banks materials beats a Nightmare wipe that banks nothing.
  • Bosses are optional on your early attempts. Nothing forces you to fight the room you cannot survive.

ClickBytes has not documented exactly which items survive a death and which do not, and none of the sources we checked reproduce a developer statement on it. Until that is published, assume anything picked up inside a run is at risk until you extract.

Dungeon order and what each one is for

The six-dungeon progression is confirmed across sources. The Roblox listing also caps standard servers at 15 players, so groups are small.

#DungeonRole in progressionConfirmed boss
1Bandit's DenTutorial. You start here as RoninBandit Chief, also recorded as Forest Warden
2Goblin's StrongholdFirst real gear and material sinkVarek, the Feared (Hard difficulty, drops Nature Plate)
3Forgotten RuinsMid-run materialsNot documented
4The CatacombsMid-run materialsNot documented
5Frostspire BastionLate standard contentAwakened Devil, hidden random spawn on Nightmare, drops Devil Heart
6Underworld GateEnd of the standard ladderNightmare here drops the Underworld Glaive, tied to Dreadlord

The first boss has a naming conflict worth knowing about. One wiki calls it Bandit Chief and another calls it Forest Warden, and the more detailed of the two flags that it is not certain whether these are the same enemy. What both agree on is the shape of the fight: roughly 2.2K HP and parryable. Learning to parry on this fight is the highest-value thing you can do in hour one. Full fight notes are on the bosses page, and the dungeon-by-dungeon breakdown lives on dungeons.

The three difficulties

Every standard dungeon runs on three difficulty tiers.

DifficultyWhat it is for
NormalLearning layouts and banking safe materials
HardWhere confirmed named drops start, for example Varek in Goblin's Stronghold
NightmareGates the rarest standard content: the Awakened Devil spawn in Frostspire Bastion and the Underworld Glaive in Underworld Gate

Sources do not publish the HP or damage multipliers behind each tier, so treat difficulty as a content gate rather than a number you can plan around.

The four stats

Dungeon Lootr uses four stats. Which one you invest in follows your class's damage type, not your preference.

StatGovernsSuits
StrengthPhysical damageMelee classes: swords, fists, glaives
DexterityRanged damageBow and gun classes
IntelligenceMagic damageCasters, including the UPDATE 1 magic classes
VitalityHealthEveryone, as a survivability floor for extraction runs

The per-point scaling coefficients are not published by ClickBytes and no source reproduces them, so this page will not invent a points-per-level split. What is confirmed is the direction: one damage stat matched to your class, plus enough Vitality to survive long enough to extract. Worked distributions and the reasoning behind them are on stats and builds.

One confirmed data point that shows stats do appear outside the stat screen: Shinobi's Mastery track grants +4 Strength at level 7, a bonus verified independently by two sources. Class Mastery is a second progression axis alongside player level.

Gear: three slots, Gear Score and affixes

There are three equipment slots: Head, Body and Ring. Each item carries a Gear Score and a set of affixes. Numbers here are the most heavily fabricated area on competing wikis, so to be plain: no source publishes Gear Score values, item levels or affix roll ranges, and this page does not print any.

Confirmed items you may see early or hear about:

ItemNote
Hollow Knight's PlateSold by the Merchant for 4,000 coins
Copper Ring, Wolf RingEarly ring options
Assassin's CowlHead slot
Nature PlateVarek drop, Goblin's Stronghold on Hard
King's Crown, Living Armor, Supernova RingThe three Relic pieces, a full end-game set across all three slots
Tidemaker Katana, Anti-magic Claymores, Underworld GlaiveConfirmed weapons

Upgrading happens at the Forge, which has four operations: Upgrade, Reforge (rerolls all affixes using a Reforge Stone), Protect and Enhance. The material list includes Iron Ore, Iron Scrap, Gold Ore, Infernal Ore, Ingots from Epic through Celestial, Forge Stones, Reforge Stones, Coins, Class Fragments, Relic Shattered Armor, Radiant Ore, Exotic Ore and Heavenly Fragments. Exact costs per upgrade are not documented anywhere we could verify. The full breakdown is on forge and gear.

Aspects are a separate layer. Eleven are confirmed: Blaze, Sanguine, Umbral, Fulmen, Verdant, Ruin, Tempest, Phantom, Glacial, Aegis and Alacrity. They are rolled randomly with an Aspect Gem and bind to the class you are currently on, so do not burn gems on a class you are about to replace. Trigger rates circulating in the community are estimates, not published figures. See aspects.

Blessings: the choice you make inside a run

Three Blessings are confirmed as run-level picks: Nimble, Focused Casting and Bulwark. Their names point at mobility, casting and defence respectively, but no source publishes the actual magnitudes, so this page will not attach numbers to them. Treat them as a per-run modifier rather than a build decision, and note that one active code rewards random GM Blessings, which is a separate reward item.

What unlocks when

Boss RushRecommended around level 67, no confirmed hard gateRecommendation, not an official gate

Unrestricted (Celestial)Level 75, 500,000 coins, Honored One at class level 25, 10 Heavenly FragmentsConfirmed, multiple sources

Note that Unrestricted is a Celestial class, not Exotic. Several guides have this wrong. Player EXP and class EXP are tracked separately, which is why two distinct game passes exist for them, and why a level 175 account can still have a level 1 class. Roblox Premium Plus players earn +5% player EXP and +10% class EXP per the official description. Levelling routes are covered on leveling.

Challenge Dungeon and Boss Rush

Challenge Dungeon (level 55) is wave-based with a boss every ten waves. It is the main source of Aspect Gems, Heavenly Fragments and Exotic materials, which makes it the gateway to the whole late-game crafting economy. Igris, also called the Scarlet Knight, appears at wave 20 and drops Radiant Ore and a Bronze Key. Icarus is a hidden encounter at wave 30 dropping Exotic Ore at a reported rate near 35% plus Exotic Shattered Armor. Details on challenge-dungeon.

Boss Rush is 100 floors across three separate lines, headed by Sukuna, Gojo and Asta. Each line yields 8 to 18 class fragments, which craft into Cursed King, Honored One and Anti Magic respectively. Sources recommend roughly level 67 before entering. Asta appears at floors 80, 90 and 100; Sukuna and Gojo at floor 100. See boss-rush.

Classes and the spin

There are 33 classes after UPDATE 1 on 7 September 2026, which added Spell Breaker, Cryomancer, Coyote and Dark Professor, all Exotic. Three of the four come from the new Magic Unleashed raid content, with Dark Professor tied to Impossible difficulty. Coyote's acquisition path is genuinely disputed: one outlet lists a bundle or the El Hueco source, another lists a game pass.

The rarity ladder is Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Celestial, Exotic. Classes come from the spin, from Forge crafting with boss fragments, from NPC quests, from the Battle Pass and from limited bundles. Full roster on classes and rankings on the tier list.

One class worth flagging on its own: Flame Bastion, an Epic entry in the spin pool. Early on it was documented by only one competing wiki, which made it a single-source, unconfirmed name. Five independent outlets now list it, so it is confirmed and belongs on any current roster, whatever older guides say.

On spin odds, be careful what you read elsewhere. ClickBytes has not published drop rates. Two contradictory fan-made tables circulate: one sums to 100.55%, the other to only 75% with the lucky column mostly blank. Neither is official and this page will not reproduce either as a table. The one figure both fan tables agree on is Exotic at 0.05% normally and 0.1% on a lucky spin, and even that is unofficial. Claims of a 300-spin pity system are not confirmed by any source we checked.

The ten game passes

The Roblox API lists exactly ten passes. This is a factual inventory, not a recommendation, and prices are not reproduced here because the store page is authoritative on current pricing.

The last three have no published effect description in any source we could verify. The game is free to play and none of the six dungeons is behind a pass.

What to do first: an ordered checklist

  1. Join the ClickBytes Roblox community before anything else. Codes only redeem for group members, and codes are case-sensitive. Current working list on codes.
  2. Redeem the active codes. They include Aspect Gems, Forge Stone bundles and luck potions, which are worth far more at level 1 than at level 50.
  3. Finish Bandit's Den on Normal as Ronin. Learn the parry on the first boss. It is a roughly 2.2K HP fight and it is parryable, which makes it the cheapest place to practise.
  4. Extract early and often. Bank three small runs rather than losing one big one.
  5. Visit the Merchant. Hollow Knight's Plate at 4,000 coins is a confirmed early body-slot purchase. Stock rotates.
  6. Fill all three slots before chasing rarity. An occupied Head, Body and Ring beats one good item and two empty slots.
  7. Push Goblin's Stronghold on Hard for Varek and the Nature Plate, then step through Forgotten Ruins and The Catacombs.
  8. Spend Forge materials on Upgrade first, Reforge later. Rerolling affixes before you have a keeper item wastes Reforge Stones.
  9. Save Aspect Gems until you have settled on a class. Aspects bind to the class you are on.
  10. Hit level 55 for Challenge Dungeon, then build towards roughly 67 for Boss Rush, where class fragments start dropping at floor 40.

What is not documented

Being straight about the gaps is the point of this wiki. As of 8 September 2026, none of these have a verified source: spin probabilities, Gear Score and item level numbers, exact Forge material costs, Aspect trigger rates, damage values for any skill, per-point stat scaling, the bosses of Forgotten Ruins and The Catacombs, and which dungeons UPDATE 1 added. Update 1.5 is scheduled for 12 September 2026 at 20:00 UTC, with the game updating roughly weekly on Saturdays. This page is re-verified after each patch.

Frequently asked questions

What do you lose when you die in Dungeon Lootr?

Standard dungeons run on an extract-or-lose-all rule, so a run only pays out if you reach the exit alive. Dying before you extract means the run's loot does not come home with you. ClickBytes has not published a precise list of what is kept and what is dropped, so treat every unextracted item as at risk.

What class do you start as in Dungeon Lootr?

You start as Ronin, a Rare class from the spin pool, during the Bandit's Den tutorial. Ronin stays usable well past the first dungeon, and there is no penalty for playing it while you build up spins. New classes come from the spin, from Forge crafting, from NPC quests and from bundles.

What level unlocks Challenge Dungeon in Dungeon Lootr?

Challenge Dungeon unlocks at level 55. It is wave-based with a boss every ten waves, and it is the main source of Aspect Gems, Heavenly Fragments and Exotic materials. Boss Rush has no confirmed level gate but sources recommend roughly level 67 before you attempt it.

What is the max level in Dungeon Lootr?

The official Roblox game description states a max player level of 175. Player level is separate from class level, and classes level independently through class EXP, which is why the game sells Double Player EXP and Double Class EXP as two different passes.

How many classes are in Dungeon Lootr?

There are 33 classes after UPDATE 1 (7 September 2026), which added Spell Breaker, Cryomancer, Coyote and Dark Professor. The in-game description still says 30+. Most competing wikis have not added the UPDATE 1 four yet, so their rosters read 28 or 29.

Do you need to join the group to redeem Dungeon Lootr codes?

Yes. Four outlets agree that codes only work once you have joined the ClickBytes Roblox community, and that codes are case-sensitive. Join first, then open the codes menu, or valid codes will read as invalid.
