Dungeon Lootr Challenge Dungeon: Waves, Bosses & Drops

Updated 2026-09-08 · Last verified 2026-09-08 · Roblox Dungeon Lootr

The Challenge Dungeon is Dungeon Lootr's wave-based mode. It unlocks at player level 55, sends a boss at every tenth wave, and is the recorded primary source of Aspect Gems, Heavenly Fragments and Exotic-tier materials. That last sentence is the whole reason to care: those three currencies gate aspect rerolling, the Unrestricted unlock chain, and top-end Forge work, and no other mode is documented as supplying them in quantity.

Two wave bosses are named anywhere: Igris, the Scarlet Knight at wave 20 and Icarus at wave 30, the second of which is a hidden encounter rather than a guaranteed spawn. Everything past wave 30 is undocumented. We say so on this page instead of inventing a wave 40 boss, which is what the largest competing wiki does.

The mode name appears verbatim in ClickBytes' own Roblox game description, which lists Boss Rush and Challenge Dungeon as the two named modes beside the standard dungeon run. That is the strongest single confirmation on this page, because it comes from the developer rather than from a fan site.

Why the Challenge Dungeon is the endgame loop

Standard dungeons in Dungeon Lootr run on an extract-or-lose-all rule: you either leave with the run's loot or you leave with nothing. The Challenge Dungeon is where the materials that cannot be farmed anywhere else appear, and it feeds three separate systems at once.

Aspect Gems. Aspects are the passive modifier layer sitting on top of your class. Eleven are recorded by name: Blaze, Sanguine, Umbral, Fulmen, Verdant, Ruin, Tempest, Phantom, Glacial, Aegis and Alacrity. An Aspect Gem rerolls your aspect at random and the result binds to the class you are currently playing, so the gem cost of chasing a specific aspect on a specific class is open-ended. That makes the Challenge Dungeon the supply line for the entire aspects system. Trigger rates for individual aspects are community estimates only and are not reproduced here.

Heavenly Fragments. These sit in the material list alongside Radiant Ore and Exotic Ore, and they have one confirmed sink that matters: the Unrestricted unlock chain. Multiple sources agree the requirement is level 75, 500,000 coins, Honored One at class level 25, and 10 Heavenly Fragments. Unrestricted is Celestial rarity, not Exotic, which several competing wikis get wrong. If you are working towards it, the Challenge Dungeon is the fragment farm, and the full requirement is broken down on the classes page.

Exotic-tier materials. Exotic Ore and Exotic Shattered Armor are both recorded as Challenge Dungeon drops, both from the wave 30 encounter. They feed the top end of the Forge, which runs four operations: Upgrade, Reforge with a Reforge Stone to reroll every affix at once, Protect, and Enhance.

Wave-by-wave drop table

This is the honest version. Rows marked "not documented" are gaps in the record, not gaps in the game.

WavesEncounterRecorded dropsSource strength
1-9Standard wave clearsNot documented per waveNo source
10Boss wave under the every-10 patternBoss name not documented; drops not documentedPattern only

30Icarus (hidden encounter)Exotic Ore at roughly 35 percent, Exotic Shattered ArmorDrops: two sources. The 35 percent figure: one source only
31+Not documentedNot documentedNo source

Aspect Gems and Heavenly Fragments are recorded as coming from the mode as a whole rather than from a specific wave. No source assigns them to a wave number, so this table does not either.

Igris, the Scarlet Knight (wave 20)

Igris is the first named wave boss and the one most players will actually see. He drops Radiant Ore and a Bronze Key. Radiant Ore is a confirmed entry in the game's material list, sitting between the common ores and Exotic Ore in that list's ordering. The Bronze Key's function is not documented: no source records what it opens, whether it is consumed, or whether it stacks. If you have keys piling up with nothing to spend them on, that is the current state of the record rather than something you have missed.

The name is a Solo Levelling reference. That is worth a line because the game's reference set is internally consistent: Sukuna and Gojo anchor two Boss Rush lines, Asta anchors a third, and the Shadow Monarch's Dagger class item comes from the same series as Igris. Consistency of that kind is one reason we treat the boss list as reliable rather than invented. See the full roster on the bosses page.

Icarus (wave 30, hidden)

Icarus is recorded as a hidden encounter at wave 30. Hidden in this game's vocabulary means conditional: the Awakened Devil in Frostspire Bastion on Nightmare is described the same way and spawns at random. The condition that triggers Icarus has not been documented by anyone, so reaching wave 30 is necessary but is not stated to be sufficient.

The drops are Exotic Ore and Exotic Shattered Armor. One source puts Exotic Ore at approximately 35 percent; no second source repeats that figure, and ClickBytes has published no drop rates for anything in the game. Treat 35 percent as one wiki's estimate, not as a rate you can plan a farm around. Shattered Armor also appears in the material list as Relic Shattered Armor, so Exotic Shattered Armor reads as the tier above it, though no source states the two are on the same upgrade track.

Challenge Dungeon vs Boss Rush vs standard dungeons

Dungeon Lootr has three loops and they pay in different currencies. Picking the wrong one is the most common way to waste an evening.

The practical reading: run Boss Rush when you want a specific Exotic class, run the Challenge Dungeon when you want to make the class you already have better. They are not substitutes.

Preparing for a Challenge Dungeon run

Nothing below is a damage number, because no damage numbers are confirmed for this game. These are the levers the sources do confirm.

  • Hit level 55 first, then keep levelling. The official description gives a max player level of 175, so 55 is early. Class experience is separate from player experience and both matter. See levelling.
  • Fill all three gear slots. Dungeon Lootr uses Head, Body and Ring, each carrying a Gear Score and affixes. Reforge Stones reroll every affix on a piece at once, which is the main way to fix a bad roll before a long wave run. Details on the gear page.
  • Spend your stat points deliberately. The four stats are Strength for physical damage, Dexterity for ranged, Intelligence for magic and Vitality for health. Wave survival leans on Vitality more than a short dungeon run does, though no source publishes the scaling. The stats page covers what is confirmed.
  • Take Blessings that suit waves. Three are recorded by name: Nimble, Focused Casting and Bulwark. They appear as a three-way choice during runs.
  • Stock Aspect Gems before you need them. The code LOVETHISGAME grants 10 Aspect Gems according to four media outlets, and RAIDTIME gives five Forge Stone Bundles. Codes require you to join the ClickBytes group first and are case sensitive. Current list on the codes page.
  • Know which passes touch this mode. ClickBytes sells 10 game passes, and four are relevant here: x2 Drop Rate, Extra Loot, Increased Luck and Aspect Hunter. The pass names come from the Roblox API directly. What each one multiplies is not published.

What is not documented

Competing wikis fill these gaps with invented numbers. We list them instead.

  • The wave 10 boss has no recorded name.
  • Wave scaling, enemy health, and any per-wave modifier are undocumented.
  • No wave cap is recorded. Whether the mode ends or loops indefinitely is unknown.
  • Drop rates for Aspect Gems, Heavenly Fragments and Radiant Ore are unpublished. The single Exotic Ore figure of roughly 35 percent comes from one source.
  • Bronze Key usage is unrecorded.
  • Whether the extract-or-lose-all rule applies to Challenge Dungeon waves is not stated anywhere. It is confirmed for standard dungeons only.
  • Whether UPDATE 1 changed the mode is unknown. The patch shipped on 7 September 2026 and added four Exotic classes: Spell Breaker, Cryomancer, Coyote and Dark Professor. No source ties any of them to the Challenge Dungeon. See update 1.

Update log

  • 8 September 2026: Page created. Unlock level, boss cadence, Igris and Icarus drops verified against the two wiki sources we accept plus independent media coverage. The wave 20 and wave 30 encounters are the only named bosses in the mode; the 35 percent Exotic Ore figure is flagged as single-source. Update 1.5 is scheduled for 12 September 2026 at 20:00 UTC and ClickBytes ships content weekly on Saturdays, so this page is re-checked after each drop.

Frequently asked questions

What level do you need for the Challenge Dungeon in Dungeon Lootr?

Level 55. That is the unlock requirement recorded for the mode, and it sits well below the level 67 that fan wikis suggest for Boss Rush. With a maximum player level of 175 stated in the official Roblox game description, level 55 is an early-to-mid gate rather than an endgame one.

How often does a boss spawn in the Challenge Dungeon?

Every 10 waves. Waves 10, 20 and 30 are all boss waves under that pattern, and only the wave 20 and wave 30 encounters are named in any source. The wave 10 boss has no recorded name, so we do not guess at one.

Who is Igris in Dungeon Lootr?

Igris, the Scarlet Knight is the wave 20 Challenge Dungeon boss. He drops Radiant Ore and a Bronze Key. The name is a nod to Solo Levelling, which matches the Shadow Monarch's Dagger class item elsewhere in the game, so the reference set is internally consistent.

Where do Aspect Gems come from?

The Challenge Dungeon is recorded as the main source of Aspect Gems. They also arrive from the code LOVETHISGAME, which four outlets list as granting 10 Aspect Gems, and one detailed source says a class spin has roughly a 21.5 percent chance to carry an Aspect. ClickBytes has not published a per-wave Aspect Gem drop rate.

Is Icarus guaranteed to appear at wave 30?

No. Icarus is recorded as a hidden encounter at wave 30, which means the spawn is conditional rather than fixed. The condition has not been documented by ClickBytes or by any wiki, so reaching wave 30 does not guarantee the fight.

What drops past wave 30 in the Challenge Dungeon?

Nothing is documented. No wiki, media outlet or official post records a wave 40 boss, a wave cap, or any reward beyond wave 30. Competing wikis fill this gap with invented numbers. We leave it blank until a source exists.
